2024 Champ Secures 4th Win Of 2026

105th Career Win

The chance at a Championship may have ended for Patrick last week but he isn't done with winning this year as he puts down a dominating win at Talladega. This is Patrick's 6th Talladega Win which moves him to a tie for 3rd most all time. This is Patrick's 105th Career Win which moves him to only 4 wins behind Justin for 3rd on the All-Time Win List. The season is never over for anyone as each victory awards you another $5 to your season purse. Can Patrick continue the momentum at Martinsville next week where he has 5 wins at the paperclip.

We are now through 8 CHASE Races and every race has been one by a CHASE contender. The best of the field made the CHASE and showed up when it mattered most. Unfortunately we are now down to only 3 left who have a shot at the title. Patrick still has a shot at getting as high as 4th place overall. He finished 5th overall last season.

Jim Wins The Battle At Dega, But The War Continues

250th Career Race

The good news for Jim is he gained 6 points on Brian and went even with Brady at Dega after his runner up finish. Jim has definitely made himself the favorite with 2 races left as he has a 16 point lead. The Championship goes through Jim now but anything can happen. A win for either Brady or Brian will bring it back to a tight battle but if they can not win one of the last 2 races then Jim will be on his way to his 2nd Championship. While we all want to see the title come down to Homestead, there is a possibility that Jim could clinch the title with a Martinsville victory.

Jim, Brian & Brady are the Top 3 of NPRS this year by far and the battle is down to them over the last 2 races. In the full season points, Jim currently leads Brian by 7 points and Brady by 39.

Remember when the CHASE began. Brady had a 25 point cushion on Jim & Jim had a 10 point cushion on Brian. Could the regular season results determine who wins this Championship? The great thing about this points system is it makes every race matter from Daytona in February to Homestead in November.

Stephanie Scores Podium Finish & Team Battle Win

Stephanie scored her 1st podium since Gateway. Stephanie currently sits 10th place in the full season standings and she still has a shot at catching Josh for 9th with a victory in the next 2 races. Stephanie's 3rd place finish helped her single person team Moore Odds Racing score the team battle win. Her team is currently 3rd place in the team standings but she has a shot at moving up to 2nd place if she can gain 3 points on MAGA Motorsports. Stephanie only has 1 win in her rookie season but she has 2 races left to try to visit victory lane again before we head towards 2027.

In Other News:

Lizzy, Sean & Maigan are mathematically eliminated from Championship contention. Lizzy & Sean still have a possible chance at 3rd place overall which pays out money at the end of the year.
Lizzy is the new stage winner queen of 2026. She has 9 stage wins this year, more than anyone else. Can she break double digits?
Tyson missed race at Dega and his losing streak grows to 29 races. Can Tyson show up at Martinsville & Homestead and try to end the year on a positive note or even score a win to help Jim title chances by keeping Brian or Brady from securing a win and catching up?

Maigan Refused To Let The Door Close At Phoenix

12th Career Win

1st Phoenix Win

Maigan refused to let the door close at Phoenix. Facing down must-win pressure, she delivered under the desert sun to keep her title hopes alive on life support, while simultaneously rewriting chunks of the NPRS history book. Even though the chances of her catching up are still highly unlikely, there is still a shot. This is Maigan's 12th career win, moving her to within 1 win of Lizzy for 11th place on the All-Time Wins List. She also pulls within 1 stage win of tying Sean on the Next Gen Stage Win List with her stage win Sunday. Maigan will need to win again next week to have any shot to stay in the hunt and that will probably continue for every race remaining. The chances of a title may be unrealistic but Maigan is chasing a better season finish than she had last year when she finished 8th overall after her great rookie year when she finished 3rd. The good news for Maigan is we are heading to a drafting track in Talladega and she has been the master of the drafting tracks since coming into NPRS. She will be going for 3 straight Dega wins Sunday. She heads into Dega 83 out of the lead and will need to be within 70 points after Dega to stay in the hunt.

Bridesmaid All Year For Justin

Justin has a brutal combination of incredible consistency and sheer heartbreak! Seven 2nd-place finishes is definitely a season of "what ifs". Justin is now mathematically eliminated from Championship contention based on another 2nd place finish. If all of those 2nd place finishes would have been wins we could be looking at a title run but Justin's title hopes are over. Now the question turns to where will Justin end the season? He has finished 6th place in the last 3 years and right now sits 7th place. Can he catch back up to Maigan to keep his Top 6 streak alive?

Lizzy Scores Podium Finish As She Tries To Hold On To Title Hopes

The NPRS championship battle is hitting its absolute boiling point. Lizzy’s clutch podium finish and her pass on Sean for 4th place overall proves she has the late-season momentum, but the math is unforgiving. Making up a 70-point deficit with only three races left requires an aggressive strategy, and Talladega is the ultimate wildcard for a title run. Since she has never won at Dega, a breakthrough victory there wouldn't just be a personal milestone, it would likely provide the massive points haul needed to comfortably clear that "magic number" of 70 and stay mathematically alive. At a restrictor-plate track, her best path forward is to stay out of "The Big One," rack up stage points, and hope the current points leader gets caught in the draft-pack chaos.

Random Scenario for Lizzy

Win Dega +5 stage points 60 pts

Jim 11th Place Finish +0 stage points 26 pts

That would give Lizzy a 34 point swing and bring her to within 36 points.

Another performance like that in the last 2 races would bring her to the title fight.

In Other News:

Freedom Motorsports won the team battle at Phoenix but are still in last place in the team standings with 3 races left.
Jim & Brian stay close while Brady suffers a stumble. Brian gained 2 points on Jim to move to within 10 points but Brady suffers his sixth last place finish of the year and falls to 20 behind. Brady is going to need a win over the next 3 races to join Jim & Brian back in the title fight.
Along with Justin, teammate Patrick also fell out of Championship contention after Phoenix. There are 6 left who mathematically have a shot.
Jim will be making his 250th Career Race at Talladega this week. When this year ends Jim will move to a tie for 8th most career races with Sam Johnson.
Josh scores 105th Career Stage Win At Phoenix
Tyson is on a 28 race win-less streak, his last win coming at Vegas in March.

Jim Wins Top Dog Fight At Charlotte As The Top 3 Contenders Finish 1, 2, 3

5th Season Win (Ties Personal Record)

27th Career Win

It came down to a tiebreaker in the photo finish between Jim & Brady and this time Jim came out on top. Jim has had a great season but even a better CHASE, performing best when it matters. 4 of his 5 season wins have came since July. The 5 season wins ties Jim's personal record of most wins in a season, he also scored 5 wins in 2025. Can he win one more in the next 4 and break his own record? The Championship contenders are finishing up top week after week. No one outside of the Top 4 in points have won a race during the 1st 6 races of the CHASE. The top contenders are stepping up and they are hitting each other punch for punch week by week. Each week we have a new shot fired. This week Jim takes the win and jumps into the points lead for only the 2nd time this season. As we enter Phoenix Jim will be at 15 days this year leading the points.

NPRS FAST FACT-This was Jim's 1st Career Win At Charlotte. He now only has 9 active tracks that he has never won a race at.

Brady Finishes Runner Up After Tiebreaker Loss

Brady may have lost the battle at Charlotte but this rookie Championship run is far from over. The next 4 races and who wins and who doesn't will likely determine who our Champion will be. Brady will enter Phoenix 3rd place in the standings 13 points out. He is only 1 point behind Brian who he tied in points this week at Charlotte. Every point matters now and Brady was able to score 1 stage win at Charlotte. Brady finished 2nd earlier this year at the 1st Phoenix race of his career.

Brian Rounds Out Championship Contender Podium

Brian may be happy with a Top 3 finish but he finished behind his 2 contenders for the title. This is Brian's fourth 3rd place finish of the year but Brian has still failed to finish 2nd place any this season. The good news for Brian is he has 1 more win than Brady & Jim but if they get to 6 wins, the tiebreaker will go to 2nd place finishes if somehow we have a Championship tie. Right now Brian holds any tiebreakers but if the wins get evened up, Jim would be in control with his 5 runner up finishes. Brian was also able to score a stage win at Charlotte to minimize the damage. Brian has 6 career wins at Phoenix with his last 2 coming in the finale in 2023 & 2022.

FJBLGB Racing Clinches 4th Team Title In 5 Years Of Team Championship Format

Congrats to Brian, Lizzy and their new teammate Jim on winning the 2026 NPRS Team Championship. The most points any team could gain in the last 4 races is 16 and they currently lead MAGA Motorsports by 17 points. This is the earliest a team has clinched a team title before and it makes sense because 2 of the 3 are title contenders and the other is still in the hunt as well.

Will there be any team changes in the off season? The Top 2 season finishers will have the opportunity to alter teams if they choose.

In Other News:

The Top 3 have pulled even farther away from everyone else in the CHASE. We could soon be looking at a final 3 but it's not over yet. Sean & Lizzy need to likely win 3 of the next 4 races.
Mathematically all 8 CHASE contenders still have a chance but that will change next week at Phoenix. We will see our 1st mathematical eliminations of anyone who is over 105 points behind.
Part Time Garage won their 1st team battle in 16 races.
Patrick & Josh lead Phoenix with 7 wins there each. Justin & Brian are close behind with 6.
Josh won the fall Phoenix race last year and Sean won Phoenix earlier this season.

Defending Champ Back On Top With 6th Season Win At Vegas

125th Career Win

Viva Las Vegas. Brian turns the attention away from Jim & Brady to himself as the defending Champion is closing in on competing for his 5th Championship. For the first time since July 19th, Brian is the points leader again. This time he leads with only 5 races left in the CHASE. This was only Brian's 3rd win at Vegas. Hasn't been his best track but this year he cashed in. Brian leads Brady by 1 point and Jim by 7 heading into Charlotte. Brian has 6 career wins at Charlotte but his last came in 2019. This is the 1st time we haven't raced the roval since the covid year in 2020.

6th Runner Up For Justin Leads All

No one has finished 2nd place more than Justin this season and this time he loses by a tiebreaker to his Dad. If those six finishes were wins we would be talking about a Championship. Unfortunately Justin is over 4 wins out of the points lead right now with 5 races left. The chances of a title are almost completely gone. On the bright side Justin moved up from 8th to 6th in the standings. Can he continue to move up the standings to get a better season finish? He has finished 6th overall in the last 3 years. Can he improve on that? Justin has 5 career wins at Charlotte and he won the last fall race there in 2020.

Lizzy Scores 1st Podium Since CHASE Started At Darlington

Lizzy rounds out an all Caruthers Top 3 at Vegas. Lizzy scored a podium when the CHASE kicked off at Darlington but hasn't been in the Top 3 since then until Vegas. She racked up 2 stage wins Sunday and moved to 9th on the all time stage win list. Lizzy is still way behind the Top 3 but a couple wins could change everything for her. She has gained ground on Sean and is only 2 points behind him as she tries to move back to 4th place overall. Lizzy needs to turn up the heat and knock out some wins to contend for the title. She has not won a race since Nashville in May and that is the reason we are not talking about a title for her yet.

In Other News:

FJBLGB Racing won the team battle again and extended their already massive points lead.
Jim stumbled a bit at Vegas but stage points saved him. Jim finished lower than Brian & Brady but his 4 stage points helped him break even with Brady and only lost ground to Brian. The good news for Jim is he only lost 1 point to the lead and enters Charlotte 7 points out. The battle is far from over.

Patrick has the most wins all time at Charlotte with 7. Can he score #8?
7 points seperate our Top 3 contenders with 5 races to go. It's still anyone's title to win. Who will stay cool under pressure of the next 5 races including Talladega and Martinsville!
Patrick has fallen to 8th in the CHASE standings. He has not finished outside the Top 5 in the final season points in the last 3 years but it's not looking like he will continue that trend.

Sean Continues Great Year With 5th Win Of Year At Kansas, Can He Make A Late Run?

52nd Career Win

5th Kansas Win

Sean is having a year to remember. Something he hasn't had since 2021, a year he won 6 races. Every year since then he has only pulled out 2 wins a year. Scoring this Kansas victory should not be a surprise as this is one of Sean's best tracks on the circuit. He now has 5 Kansas wins, only 2nd to Josh with 8. With this victory, Sean climbs one spot in the CHASE standings to 4th and now the question becomes can Sean put together a late Championship run and upset one of the Top 3? As we head to Las Vegas, Sean is 48 points back which means he still needs 2 more wins to join the top guys but momentum is key. Sean has 1 past win at Vegas, back in 2021. Time to roll the dice in Vegas.

5th Runner Up Finish Of Year & 4th In The Last 13 Races For Justin In A Season Of What Could Have Been

Justin scores 5th runner up finish of year and the 4th runner up in the last 13 races. If those 2nd places had turned into wins we could be talking about a Championship run for Justin. Unfortunately he has came up short too many times and currently sits 8th in points, 87 points back from the lead. The good news...Justin has gained ground on Maigan & Patrick and could jump up to 6th in the standings with a good run in Vegas.

Jim Wins The Battle With Podium Finish While Brady Stays Leading The War

Jim won the battle of the Top 3 title contenders this week with a 3rd place finish but Brady still holds on to the lead with 6 races left. The lead has decreased to 6 points and Jim is ready to strike. The 2020 Champion is a man on a mission hunting down Brady and chasing that 2nd title. Can he stop the rookie?

In Other News:

Tyson has won the last 2 races at Vegas. Can he make it 3 in a row?
Lizzy scores 32nd Career Stage Win. She is one stage win away from tying Daniel on the All Time Stage Win List.
Brady misses another race and his lead shrinks from 18 to 6 but he still holds the lead. Rule changes are incoming for 2027 but the rule book doesn't change mid season and Brady has benefited from the flaws in the system for this year's rules.
Still waiting on input from 6 people for the 2nd survey. Click the survey picture below to get your votes in.
MAGA Motorsports wins the team battle and moves back to 2nd in the team standings but still way behind the leaders.
6 races left to go. Brady chasing the historic rookie Championship, Jim going for 2nd title, Brian chasing his 5th title, could Sean join the party chasing his 2nd title and 1st since 2013?
How far back is too far back? A win gains you 20 pts. We have 6 races left. No one has won 4 straight races since Scott in 2017 but a run like that right now would almost get anyone in the CHASE back into the title fight. Anything can happen. We are 4 races into the CHASE and have had 4 different winners so far.

Brady Strikes Back In Wild Bristol Night Race

The 1st 2 races of the CHASE, Brian & Jim took charge and kicked off the CHASE with wins putting the pressure on the #1 seed Brady but tonight at Bristol Brady struck back and continues to show he means business fighting for a Championship in his rookie season. This is Brady's 4th win of his rookie season and 3 of his wins this year have came on short tracks. Brady is becoming a master of short tracks by winning Martinsville, North Wilkesboro and Bristol this year along with his victory in San Diego. Brady opened the CHASE with a 25 point lead and quickly saw that lead disappear but with his Bristol win he now has his lead back to 18 over Jim and 29 over Brian. This Championship CHASE is going to come down to who can hit the most punches with race victories and Brady swung and hit this week like Carson hit Blaney. Brady has now tied Scott on the next gen wins list with 4 and Brady is 2 wins away from passing Kaylin on the All Time Wins List. The next 3 weeks are at mile and half tracks and things may get back to normal but this CHASE has been anything but normal. The Top 3 have set themselves above everyone else just 3 races into the CHASE.

Jim Battles For Win But Comes Up As #2 In Battle

Another week of very similar picks led to another tie to be broken for 2nd place and Jim won the tiebreaker over Brian. Brady only won the race because he had a different dark horse and Jim won the tiebreaker for 2nd with the better 2nd driver. Jim was only able to hold the points lead for 1 week but another win could change everything as the 2020 Champion continues to try to stop another rookie from winning a title. Jim has a very good record at Kansas with 3 wins at the track over the 7 years Jim has been in NPRS. If this Championship battle continues all the way to the end of the year we are going to be in for a good show.

NPRS HALL OF FAME FACT-Jim scored his 42nd Career Stage Win passing Sean on the All Time Stage Win List for 6th place. Next ahead of him is Scott with 48.

Brian Scores Podium Finish But Loses Ground To The Top 2

Brian rounds out the Top 3 finishing positions for the Top 3 in the points. Brady, Jim & Brian have went into their own zip code in the standings right now. The 4th place person is 66 points back. A hot streak for someone below the Top 3 could bring someone back into the hunt but right now we have 2 veterans who are used to battling each other and the rookie Brady in a 3 way battle. Brian has 4 wins at Kansas but hasn't visited victory lane there since 2017.

In Other News:

Justin scores 75th Career Stage Win. 13 stage wins behind Brian for 2nd All Time.
Nothing good happened for anyone outside the Top 3 in the CHASE. There is only 20 points between 5th and 8th place so anything in that area could switch in a moment.
FJBLGB Racing wins the team battle again, extending their season long lead to 11 points over the newly 2nd place team Moore Odds Racing.
Josh has the most Kansas wins all time with 8 wins. Josh has won the last 3 Kansas Fall Races. Can he win 4 in a row?
Season long standings. If we didn't have the CHASE, the battle would be even better. For the full season Jim has 1051 points, Brady has 1050 and Brian has 1049. They have all scored within 2 points of each other for the entire season. Unreal.
Sean used his one and only free pass for the season turning in picks late in the morning.

Mr St. Louis Jim Sends A Championship Punch In CHASE Fight!

26th Career Win

Jim loves going to St. Louis for the race at WWT Raceway. We have raced at this track for 5 years now and Jim has now won 3 of those 5 races. Jim came into the CHASE as the #2 seed after trailing others all season he kept slowly gaining on the lead and now after the 2nd CHASE race, Jim is the points leader for the 1st time this year. This race was a huge Championship swing at the other contenders. He finished 2nd in Stage 1, won Stage 2 and then pulled out the win in the end in a 5 way tie. Jim is legit trying to keep Brady from taking his title as a rookie Champion. This is Jim's 4th win of the year, only trailing Brian who has 5. Can Jim keep this momentum up and hold onto his points lead at Bristol Saturday, a track he has never won before.

3 Straight Podiums For Josh As He Loses Tiebreaker To Jim

Josh didn't make the CHASE but he is making a statement to everyone that he is still here and won't be forgotten. Josh wants some wins to end the season strong but today he lost in the worst way losing in a tiebreaker. Josh now has finished Top 3 in 3 straight races and continues to spoil the CHASE party.

Stephanie Scores 1st Podium Since Indy In 5 Way Tie

Stephanie has been very quiet in the last month but finally shows up on the podium this week. This 3rd place finish helped her score the team battle win and in the same situation as Josh, Stephanie is trying to have some positive momentum to wrap up her rookie season. Can she win her 1st short track race this weekend at Bristol?

In Other News:

Stephanie leads her team Moore Odds Racing to the team battle victory.
Patrick & Justin are in desperate need of wins. They both need at least 2 wins to get back into the hunt. Possibly 3.
Brady loses the points lead for the 1st time since July 19th, can he respond and fight back or will the rookie's downfall begin when the pressure is high?
Both Brian & Jim have won the battles of the 1st 2 CHASE races. Who can be next to win a race in this battle of the veterans vs the rookie?
Maigan did not have a great 100th Career Race, finishing last place and falling to 57 points out of the lead.
The Big 3. Jim, Brady & Brian have set themselves apart from everyone else 2 races into the CHASE but can someone else get hot and join them?
